How it works
We calculate the exact number of days between the two calendar dates, then express it in weeks (÷7), approximate months (÷30.44) and approximate years (÷365.25).
Example
From January 1 to June 15 in the same non-leap year is 165 days — about 23.6 weeks or 5.4 months.
Assumptions & limitations
Month and year conversions are approximate since calendar months and years vary in length; the day count itself is always exact.
Frequently asked questions
Is the day count exact?
Yes, the day figure is exact. Only the week/month/year conversions are approximations for readability.
